Marketing Communications

This is where it gets good.

Really, Marketing Communications development starts way before logo design and includes everything that comes after. We use a nifty Marketing Map work sheet that takes maybe an hour to fill out for each product or service, assuming someone has thought about all the subjects ahead of time. Once we have the map, we can see competition, market position, budget constraints . . . probably we should keep some of this confidential until you hire us.

We believe in establishing parameters because it is so easy to walk along a clearly defined trail and so hard to bushwack. In fact, after parameters are solidly defined, solutions just pop up and demand consideration. Worksheet cool. Hard data great. We may seem like art majors but we are trained like MBAs.

The development of a Marketing Plan falls out of the work sheet and includes tools creation and a media mix. The Marketing Plan is the action plan that directs our every step. Plan the work/Work the plan. Unexpected opportunities can make it necessary to update the plan in real time—allowed but often discouraged. Trying to do everything is a sure road to failure. Stack protocols, pursue priorities and FOCUS, focus, focus. Prioritize, focus and fear failure. ‘Works every time.
